How Did I Get Here? is the result of over two decades of research. What began as a weekend hobby very quickly became an all-consuming passion, and that passion soon extended well beyond a single family tree. Our goal is to answer the question "how did I get here?" for anyone who asks it, in the most informative and entertaining way possible. 

We offer a wide variety of not only genealogical, but creative services. From family trees to photobooks, DNA interpretation to written biographies, ancestral websites to genealogical art, our passion is making family history fascinating, fun, and creative. 

 While HDIGH? focuses on making genealogy interesting, fun, and creative, the one thing we take incredibly seriously is our research. You can rest assured that every piece of information we provide you with has been thoroughly examined and heavily sourced. Our access to a wide variety of both sources and experts ensures you get the most accurate information possible. 

Not everyone who visits our site is looking for genealogical services, and we are happy about that! HDIGH? did not begin as a business, but as a personal genealogy website to tell the story of our family, and to serve as an easily accessible source for all we had found. That has not changed. We remain committed to telling our own family's story, and connecting with relatives.

  Our primary goal has always been to make genealogy fun, interesting, and informative. Our blog mostly covers quirky and fascinating stories of our own family, but also research tips, relevant history, and technical information that won't bore you to death. 

Robin J. Williams is a writer, editor, educator, and genealogist. Her passion for genealogy was ignited in 2005, when two of her relatives passed away without her ever having met them. It was then that she realized just how little she knew about her family, and then that she first asked herself "how did I get here?"
